4 Ways To Burn Energy in Social Distance

Need to burn off extra energy since everything’s been cancelled or closed?

School + college sports aside, I’ve been trying every kind of exercise created since my 20’s, no joke…Remember that Jane Fonda step aerobics? Had one.

Ever hear of Billy Blanks Tae Bo? Did it.

And in the last 25 days since our Stay Home / Social Distance started I’ve found some new ones to start since my gym + classes cancelled.

If you’re not following along on Instagram, come on over and peek at all the new social distance ideas that I’ve been talking about in stories {added to the highlights too}.

SMP Stories will also lead you to these blog posts once-a-week where I have more space to share ideas to keep us all from going a bit wacky in the weeks to come!

This week I’ve gathered a bunch of ideas for those of us Mama’s + teens who like to sweat, or at least get in a warm-up 😉

Dive in and try something new this week! + pass along this link to a friend who might like it too.

I still got it! But didn’t win

OUTDOOR LIFE::

  • Take a walk on the nature side at your local nature preserves
  • Bike Rides
  • Hop-Scotch – seriously! Thank you to all my neighbors who have drawn these around the neighborhood. I’m teaching my teens how to play🤣 #goodoldays
  • Tennis {empty tennis courts all around}
  • Jump rope
  • Run – better yet, do the Phoebe run & bring a smile to Friends Fans everywhere!

YOGA::

I know – I know, I talk about this one all the time. But talk about a stress release + best way to stretch and breathe!

YOUTUBE::

They have everything on YouTube! The real challenge is finding the good channels. I’ve been scrolling through channels looking for good workouts + finding new workouts to try. Ever try Barre?

Need a dance/strength/yoga combo {no equipment needed}::

Zumba {I miss my real-life class like Joey misses food} But these are helping::

INDOORS::

  • Got a hoola hoop?
  • Workout videos – Jillian Michaels has a great kickboxing + Combo workouts
  • Dance-Dance-Fever! Turn up the music & start dancing
  • How about the classics – elliptical, treadmill, run stairs in the house

There ya go! Give one a try today, just might become a new favorite. Exercise isn’t just healthy for our body, it goes a long way in improving our mood.

“Regular exercise can positively impact serotonin levels in your brain. Raising your levels of serotonin boosts your mood and overall sense of well-being.”

Until next week…

SMP Blog Tidbits::

Nutrition Tip:: Drink a glass of water first thing in the morning {yes, before the coffee}. It’s filling + hydrating!

What We’re Watching:: Going back to the 80’s/90’s {Back To The Future, Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink…}

Water Fact:: “Experts estimate that almost 75% of the population suffers from dehydration.” Try to drink 1 extra glass of water today.

    Exercise is an important part of our life and these days we must have to spend at least 2 hours for walking and gyming, which makes our body flexible and fit. I am also spending more time in gyming because of lock down. ReplyCancel
