5 Graduation Gifts to Surprise the Grad

It’s hard to surprise the Graduate sometimes, but this year I have 5 graduation gifts to start the ideas rolling in just like all those announcements filling your mailbox.

If you’re like me, you have quite a few grad announcements piling up on your fridge + arriving in your mailbox. I struggle sometimes with knowing what to get these amazing graduates.

Yes, cash is always appreciated. What about other fun ways to celebrate the Grad. That thought led to todays’ blog post. I put together this gift guide for you.

Read on for some fool-proof graduation gifts::

Stylish Choker

They never go out of style. They range in price from $19-$59, and will please any graduate who enjoys stylish looks.

You can find these chokers online at stores like Forever 21 for an affordable version, or Nordstorm for a quality piece. Another idea is a beautiful, classic bangle (we love the ones from Alex + Ani)

Gift baskets / College survival baskets…

I love practical + creative ideas like this. It’s like putting together my senior swag bags for all my sessions:: everything a grad would love or need.

All of my senior clients receive little gift bags full of goodies with their senior sessions.

Here’s a few ideas::

  • Starbucks or restaurant gift cards
  • Fuel gift cards
  • Personal care items like razors or kleenex
  • Decor for dorm rooms
  • Favorite candies, gum
  • Office supplies

Money – Moola – Cash

Well…this seems a bit obvious, but let’s be honest, it’s always the easiest pick for a grad-pleasing gift!

Pinterest is a great place for creative ideas of how to give that moolah with the graduation gifts to the Grad this year.

{I’ve pinned some for ya on my Pinterest page }

Just because it’s easy, doesn’t mean it has to be boring!

Portable Lens Kit

What senior isn’t snapping photos with their smartphone?! The iMoreGro iphone lens kit is great for college, on-the-go life and capturing memories. I carry one with me for quick snaps to share. And at under $20, it’s an inexpensive and very practical little gift!

Portable Charger

2% battery life is never a good feeling when you’re running around campus. Always have a charge with a lipstick sized phone charger. It’s an adorable gift when packaged with a cute ribbon + card! I also love this keychain version, that can attach to a backpack or purse!

Want even more creative ideas?

I’m always pinning on my Pinterest Boards, and like to share ideas I come across for my clients and their parents. (There might be a few recipes + helpful hints on there, too!)

Cheers & Sparkles
