How Book a Photoshoot | Northern Illinois Photographer

As a Northern Illinois Photographer, the Fall is the busiest time on the books.

Yes, you read that right, all the beautiful Fall colors bring in an overflow of senior portrait requests. But, the second busiest…

Spring.

I’ve been capturing senior’s milestone moments for nearly 10 years and Springtime brings back longer warm days + the excitement of high school seniors getting close to graduation. There is a giddiness of closing out your high school chapter and starting the next one. Seniors + Mom’s of Seniors love springtime portraits, and that season is HERRRREEEEE! {could you here my sing-e-song voice in the “here”?}

The other reason Spring is pretty popular for this Northern Illinois photographer…

The cap, gowns, and shiny tassels, with those four shiny numbers of THE YEAR dangling down, start arriving in your mailbox.

Your life is busy. So why not combine two big milestones this Spring.

  1. Your Senior Story Session
  2. Cap & Gown

Scratch that.

Make it a three-in-one and add in your big college announcement!

By Spring time you’ve decided where your next chapter will play out. Why not order that new college swag and we’ll add that into your senior story shoot to show where your next chapter will begin.

Close the high school chapter.

Open the college chapter all in one fun afternoon!

This Northern Illinois Photographer, yes, that’s me, Andrea, has your whole plan ready to go! I add some personal touches + details to tailor your photo session to YOU! I get that when you fill out your senior questionnaire. And then, we are ready to have FUN capturing your story!

My dear 2021 Senior, you have endured a lot in your last high school year.

I know everyone says,

  • “You’ll be stronger for it!”
  • “You have your whole life to look forward to after this year”
  • “This is just a blip on the radar.”

And that list drones on and on. All true. But when you’re in it, when you’re not on the other side of senior year, it’s not any less heartbreaking is it? Life is starting to restore itself back to “normal” and I hope you get that graduation ceremony to close your high school chapter this year.

It’s an unrepeatable moment.

There are many things out of our control, but capturing these LASTS this Spring is something we can make happen. And you + Mom will have these memories to share this unconventional senior year.

In 5, 10, 20 years from today you’ll still have your images from your photoshoot, in Northern Illinois, back in 2021, and be able to SMILE. It’ll be you, in your moment, before you went out to live your best life in a whole new chapter.

You’ll see yourself in your favorite outfits, your cap & gown, your college sweatshirt… all of it shining in the Spring sunshine.

Those are the memories you want to hold tight. Your senior pictures are the part of your senior year story that lives on, and leave all the rest wayyyyy behind.
