A Photography Background can save a shoot!
When it’s raining + chilly for Spring Break in our area of the country I have to know where to find the bright spots! And photography backgrounds on a rainy day are my specialty.
Brooke, a St. Charles East High School student, was the kindest and most sparkling girl! While some are planning vacations or tropical trips for their spring vacations, Brooke was staying close to home this year. And when her mom asked what she’d like to do, she requested a photoshoot. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate a school break than by documenting all the hard work you put into your studies, can you?
Obviously, the weather was less than ideal, so we worked in the studio. I was fully booked for full length sessions, but I was more than happy to fit Brooke and her mom in for one of my mini sessions indoors.
My mini sessions are one of my favorite ways to capture a young person in short, less formal capacity.
That doesn’t mean you don’t get the full treatment though, or what I like to call the Shining Moments Experience; one where you feel bold and confident and where we have tons of fun!
I worked with Brooke to find out her ideas for outfits, and we planned out every single detail down to a tee, including her adorable pedicured nail design. We even incorporated a spring-inspired outfit while we pretended we were in a sunnier climate!
She was delighted with the way these portraits came out, and with her mom’s help, is planning for a full session soon.
Brooke is a beautiful + graceful dancer, and wants to do some dance-inspired shots outdoors, rather than in the confines of my studio. I can’t wait!
Cheers & Sparkles
