No Clothes Shopping Online Until You See These Ideas!

Click – Click – Click

Clothes shopping online is in full clicking so I’m showing three looks to add to your closet for summer, school, early Fall + your senior portraits.

First up::

DRESSES! Warm days + dresses keep us cool, look cute and super fun to move {or dance} in.

Current trends are short and flowy + tank dresses. Free People and Superdry dresses below aren’t just cute, but great for your senior session to move, dance, skip, or just sit creek-side. Urban Outfitters {Anna’s dress above} also has cute options.

For a “shop small” place with cute dresses try UOIonline.

Second staple for your closet – JEANS!

Guys + Gals this one is a MUST! I live in jeans almost year round, and I’m guessing you might too. Whether you like high-waisted, skinny, or the mom jeans, go for comfort.

I know guys, you always go for comfort.

FYI:: The more spandex in the jean the more stretch. Add some lycra and they start to feel like yoga pants. Articles of Society has great jean styles with comfy stretch to-em {#bestjeanever}.

SIS Shop in Style in downtown Sycamore carry this brand.

Layer it up!

Matching shirts + layering pieces into your style is easy with jeans. For school, your senior portraits, or college days remember to add LAYERS to your wardrobe.

T-shirt layered under a flannel and/or light jacket…easy, cute, comfortable!

When you’re shopping, look at the displays + how they layer each outfit. Chain stores are sent spec sheets showing the staff just how to set up the window displays. Primo inspiration ideas for you!

And if you love creating those looks yourself, you little trend-setter, then maybe fashion merchandising is a degree you should check out😉

Small boutiques style throughout their shop + have staff on hand to help you design your outfit and mix-n-match for different looks. Some online shops have virtual assistants to help as you click too.

Don’t be shy to ask for style tips if you’re in the store shopping.

Buying three different colored tank tops / t-shirts to wear for the week under a kimono or jacket is another layering idea. The longer waist-tie kimono above can be layered with jeans, a skirt, or shorts.

Don’t let patterns scare you away either. Keep your bottoms {jeans, shorts, skirts, leggings} in solid colors and go wild with your tops to mix-n-match for days.

All links above are clickable to shop if you love that exact piece.

And by golly, GENE! Don’t forget the SHOES! There are so many shoes + so little time to wear them all. Sometimes I take two pair along with me for a long day – no joke. Obviously I don’t wear them together, except that one time I was running late out of the house.

shoes, shopping

But ya know how to solve that…an extra pair of shoes are always in the car.

And your last resource for help is ME!

If you’re out shopping local or clicking through clothes shopping online for our upcoming SMP senior session, text me a photo of what you want to buy and I’m happy to help you style-it-up.

Collect all your pieces and bring them with you to your consultation, or snap a photo and bring a picture on your phone, whatever makes it easy for you.

We’ll plan out each outfit + where they’ll fit into our location. The school doors are opening soon {we think} so let’s get styled-up and ready to walk in!

CHEERS + SPARKLES to your online or LOCAL Shopping!
