What’s easy, you ask? Building others up. Kindness. Positivity!

Kindness is just one of the values I seek to impart to my senior + teen clients every year. There’s enough negative images and ideas coming at teens and high schoolers these days, that I cheering them on is definitely something I am passionate about.
Every chance I get to build up a teen’s self-confidence and self-worth…well, I’m all over it. So, I created a mini-shoot as a reminder to be kind, fearless, and supportive of others; as a way to look for the positives instead of the negatives.

As I was planning and dreaming up this encouraging session, I bought five different shirts, each with a beautiful message. I had the girls each pick the one that spoke to them.
Then, we sat down together before our shoot and got real and raw…never an easy task, even for me!
I wanted every one of these inspiring teens to write down a quality they love about themselves. No matter our looks, size, talents, or achievements, I want girls to feel good about their own strengths and learn to celebrate them in others.

It doesn’t take much to be kind. It’s a small, sincere laugh, a compliment, or even just a passing smile to boost someone’s spirits.
How do you feel when someone compliments your shoes?
Does your day improve when someone asks if they can help you in some way?
When a friend notices you’ve lost your smile and stops everything to ask what they can do for you.

“The amazing thing about love and attention and encouragement and grace and success and joy is that these things are infinite. We get a new supply every single morning and so we can give it away all day. We never, ever have to monitor the supply of others or grab or hoard. There will be more in the morning and it will be enough.”

Cheers to a better day!
