What does a photographer do on her days off?
I play Mom + wife AND look for new outdoor photoshoot locations near me.
Scouting for new locations is something I look forward too. I’ve used the same locations over the years. The same location looks completely new in each of the four seasons we get in Illinois.
But it’s refreshing to look for new spots to share with clients. And sometimes I’m checking private request locations too.
When looking for locations you have to consider the traffic, the lighting, the time of day, and THE RULES.
With the influx of photographers over recent years many locations are requesting “donations” to use the nursery, museum, or grounds.
Locating new spots that fit my client’s personality, and with the changing Illinois temperatures, I am always keeping my eyes WIDE OPEN when I go out.
I come up with a variety of locales that suit every senior or headshot client individually. I believe they need to reflect personalities and styles.
Whether you want something urban/downtown, or rustic and natural, I keep a list of locations + inspirational spots. It seems there is a new outdoor photoshoot location near me around every corner.
What does this mean for you?
When you book your session, I have a questionnaire + consultation to talk about everything you’re dreaming of!
This customized approach means that you get a day all about YOU…
- No cookie cutter images
- No quick snap & done deals
- It’s your story to tell & we tell it down to the detail
Senior portraits are a BIG DEAL + a special milestone in the life of a teen finishing up high school. I aim to make it something to remember. In life you should celebrate BIG events, and closing out the chapter on high school is most definitely one of those BIG EVENTS!
My Fall list is already started for the 2021 Seniors!
Cheers & Sparkles
