Today, I want to show you 5 trends you need for Spring!
They’re fun trends I have seen popping up in senior sessions recently! I always want my seniors to have a variety of trendy + classic outfits that express their personalities, and so I enjoy staying on top of the newest styles.
As a mom and small business owner, I try to incorporate trends in an age-appropriate way!
SMP Side Note:: If the current trends or styles don’t fit your personality no big thing! You do you and make your own style! Tell YOUR story!
Here’s 5 trends to seek out this Spring:
1/ Graphic Tees
These have been on our fashion radar awhile, and they’re back for spring. I like the quirky prints and fun sayings. You can find these EVERYWHERE these days. UOIonline offers new styles for every season.
Try pairing a graphic tee with distressed jeans and a colorful sneaker for a casual, fun everyday look. We also showcased some inspirationally designed tees in our recent indoor shoot, “Inspiration is T”. Thanks to Strawberry Revolution for the adorable KIND is the new Pretty tee, which supports the KIND Campaign!
2/ Neon Sporty
Athleisure is one of the comfiest trends this year, and who doesn’t love a great legging and oversized tee? But just because it’s sporty doesn’t mean it has to be sloppy.
Victoria’s Secret has more than just bras these days, it also has some fun pieces in their PINK line. Add some vintage inspired sneakers or black Nikes for a bright and sporty ensemble!
3/ Floral Embroidery
Its EVERYWHERE! It feels a bit nineties, but we like the floral bomber jackets to add a girly touch to a tee and jeans. Forever 21 always has great trendy options for the girls on a budget. Try the cute jacket look below, paired with high waist jeans and fun lace up shoe.
Think pastels mixed with edgier pieces like moto leggings or studded bracelets for an outfit that isn’t too bland.
4/ Bell Sleeves
Floral and bohemian pairings are always a win in our book! If you want to splurge on a gorgeous tunic, Free People always style with a draping look (the one below runs short, so it looks great as a longer top or short dress).
The romantic, flowy sleeve looks perfect on taller gals, while petite ones may need to hire a tailor so the length doesn’t overwhelm them.
Pair with an over the knee boot for spring, or a sandal for summer for an on-trend look.
5/ Makeup Trends
MAC predicts bright and bold colors for spring, and if you’re brave enough to incorporate them, we love the bright pink eyeliner and navy blue accents.
If you’re not quite ready to get a bold palette, you can add touches of colors like navy eyeliner or coral blush for a more subtle spring look.
Cheers & Sparkles
