What’s Camera-Ready Makeup? | Senior Photography

Does camera ready makeup really make a difference?

YES!

I never wear makeup, so wouldn’t that be fake?

NO!

Camera ready makeup in your senior portraits + professional headshots most certainly, absolutely, positively shines you up!

Makeup smooths out our skin, helps tone down shiny spots, and gives our eyes that little extra pop in images.

And we all want our eyes to sparkle!

Whenever possible I encourage a splurge of using a professional makeup artist for your day of fun in senior portraits. {If needed, I have my makeup artist’s name for you during the consult}

Camera makeup So SO SOOOO important in Headshots!

When you’re taking headshot images it’s up-close to your face. Headshots, at their basic, are shots of your head.

I’m a visual gal {I know, you’re surprised}, so try this to for an idea on how my camera lens will see you::

Get up-close to your mirror with and then without makeup. Or take a quick pic with your phone and slide back-n-forth between the two shots.

Makeup makes a difference in the finished look of your images. It can’t be photoshopped.

Think of getting your makeup done as a little pampering time.

When I had my headshots updated I loved every minute of my makeup pampering! Elenia, at Dolce Vita Salon is a master makeup artist + esthetician. This is your day to shine, and a little pampering starts that day off perfectly!

Okay, now that I’ve stressed how a make-up artist helps polish your portraits, I’ll also add that some of my past seniors who love perfecting their own makeup have done a really great job.

They could teach me a thing or three about the artistry of makeup.

If you’re a do-it-yourselfer, I’ve created a Makeup Guide to help get you “Camera Ready”. There are 10 really important things to remember when you’re doing make up for a photo session.

Be sure to grab my free guide to help.

Makeup is there to polish a look, but YOU make the story.

Let’s tell your story together!

Cheers & Sparkles
